The Mountain Designs Tread Tri-Fold Carbon Walking Poles is the ultra-lightweight model in our tri-fold trekking pole range, designed for serious hikers who require minimal packing bulk and load. Constructed from carbon to reduce weight, it features a tri-fold design with an internal cable that can create additional tension in the pole shaft when required, and collapses the pole quickly and easily when not in use. It also has a speedlock system and telescopic handle for adjusting the length to suit your height and walking style, and an ergonomically-designed EVA foam handle. The handle itself has been extended to eliminate the need to adjust the pole length as terrain gradient changes, and also houses a locking mechanism for the nylon wrist strap so it can be adjusted and secured quickly and easily. For adaptability on all ground surfaces, you can switch between the replaceable carbide tip, rubber foot and basket.
